The Stanley Parable

Stanley works for a company where his job is to push buttons as prompted from a monitor. One day, the orders stop coming through and Stanley notices that all his colleagues have disappeared. He proceeds to the meeting room for more information.<br><br><i>The Stanley Parable</i> is an adventure game based upon a mod for Half-Life 2, wherein the player controls Stanley and must make choices based on paths presented to them by the environment or the narrator. Said narrator will describe Stanley's actions as they happen, sometimes before.

<p>This game is a very odd entry and it is hard to make heads or tails of it. In a way, it is a simple adventure game, but the game changes over time as the play, as does the story. The puzzles in this game are more or less trying to figure out what you can do differently to change the narrative of the story. It is an interesting mechanic and one that makes the game with playing. I do feel like once you’ve playing the game, it has little replay value, as most of the charm in the game is ruined after the first playthrough. The voice acting is good from the narrator and a story does exist, but you really have to look to find it in its complete form.</p>
