Review
★★★★★
This is the second game in the Telltale Batman series and the final game completely developed by the old Telltale because it folded. The game similar in play style to the previous Batman game with the linking mechanic that added an element of investigation to the game while keeping the Telltale choice and consequences element very heavy involved in the game. The game also feature a significant number of Quick Time Events (QTEs) like in the previous title. The choices from the previous game are used to slightly modify the reaction to Bruce and Batman by certain character in the game. I’m not sure how significant those choices are to the story in this game. From a story point of view, the story was very engaging and left me wanting to experience more of it. The character were well written to the point that I cared for a number of them and was interested to see their outcome in the story. I do feel like some choices were tossed in to create weird situations and doubt in your own responses. The final episode could play out very differently based on your choices earlier in the game and this seemed like Telltale’s attempt to make your choices in the game really matter and have an impact on the story.

Graphically, the game was pleasing and was done in the same comic style as the previous game and The Wolf Among Us. There were some freezes and slowdowns at certain moments, but that could have been related to my computer as opposed to an issue with the game. The sound and voice acting were wonderful as we have come to expect from Telltale games.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game and believe it was better than the previous game as it really felt like Batman came into his element here. The conflicts between characters was interesting and decided who to trust and who not to trust was there the entire game.

Graphics: 4.5/5

Story: 5/5

Puzzles/Gameplay: 4/5

Music/Sound: 4.5/5

Personal Slant: 4.5/5

Overall Rating 4.5/5</b
